BEng Civil
Greg is a highly respected Engineer with over 19 years experience in project management and engineering gained in New Zealand and the UK. Recent project management experience includes the SH16 Lincoln to Westgate Upgrade, Cowie Street Bridge in Newmarket and the iconic, award-winning Nelson Street Cycleway (Pink Path).
BEng Civil (Hons.), MEngNZ
Steve has over 20 years civil engineering experience in a wide range of disciplines including water, public spaces, oil and gas, and industrial construction. He is well regarded by clients and partners for his enjoyable and interactive approach in early contractor involvement , design management and value engineering.
Outside of work Steve enjoys tramping, squash, and skiing with his family.
BEng Civil (Hons.)
Nick is a sought-after Project Director/Manager whose engineering and project management capabilities cover a wide range of construction activities including structures, rail, water treatment, temporary works, marine and roading. He has several award-winning projects under his belt, both within New Zealand and abroad.
BEng (Civil), CMEngNZ, CPEng, IntPE
Jonty has over 20 years of construction engineering experience and has held management roles on high profile roading projects such as Rangiriri Bypass, Mackays to PekaPeka and the Manukau Harbour Crossing. He is a chartered professional engineer and his construction capabilities include, bridges, marine works, piling, roading and paving. He also has extensive experience in planning/programming, development of methodologies, estimating and tendering.
Jonty enjoys the outdoors and if he isn’t doing multiday hikes in the back country you’ll find him kayaking and fly-fishing on a quiet stretch of water somewhere.
BEng Natural Resources (Hons)
Lance is a professional engineer with experience on small and large-scale projects in natural resources and infrastructure across Australasia and Europe. He has specialist skills in technical engineering, quality control, planning and contractual management. Projects include City Rail Link and Nelson Street Cycleway in Auckland, The Gorgon LNG Pipeline for Chevron in Western Australia and the Grand West Bypass in France.
When not at the coalface, you will find Lance up North at his family bach fishing and surfing. If the borders are open he loves to get a backpack on for some intrepid international travels.
Licensed Building Practitioner
Ben is a highly motivated Site Manager with extensive experience in managing public transport, large complex residential and light commercial projects. Ben has recently completed the Glen Innes to Tamaki Drive Shared Path Section 2 project as the bridge manager, which was an overwhelming success due to his in-depth technical knowledge and understanding of building and construction. He is organised, a strong problem-solver and manages well under pressure. Ben develops and maintains an excellent relationship with his clients, and always gets the best out of his team and subcontractors.
With 2 young energetic boys weekends are spent adventuring around NZ or swimming in the back yard.
Licensed Building Practitioner
Jeremy is a site manager who is combining his 13 years experience with the Royal NZ Navy and his subsequent qualification as a carpenter. Deployed all around the world, Jeremy is accustomed to working with people of all backgrounds, yet expecting that high level of competency. Jeremy has recently completed the Glen Innes to Tamaki Drive Shared Path Section 2 project as the boardwalk supervisor, the St Lukes Interchange Upgrade and SH16 Noisewall Rehabilitation for NZTA.
Away from the worksite, Jeremy is likely to be found on a hockey field; in fact still playing representative hockey for North Harbour.
BConst
Blane has significant practical experience leading earthworks and drainage operations on some of NZTA’s major highway projects; Waikato Expressway Huntly Section, Tauranga Eastern Link (TEL) and SH16/18 Hobsonville Deviation. Blane’s technical skills in planning, programming, geotechnical testing and techniques compliments his in-depth knowledge of environmental protection, working in ecological sensitive environments, and managing stakeholder and local Iwi expectations.
Blane takes every opportunity to head up north to Mangawhai and get out on the water chasing gamefish or a catch for dinner.
Jeff is a young and motivated site Engineer. He has spent the past four years managing teams through various projects such as maintenance of the Waihou-Piako flood protection network & the Fonterra Waitoa Biomass Boiler project. He strives to bring efficiency to the project through the use of modern technologies and builds positive site culture through his hands on involvement in the construction process.
Outside of work, Jeff enjoys time on the ocean fishing and waterskiing from his jet ski.
BEng Civil (Hons)
Greg is a Civil Engineer who has spent the early stages of his career learning as much as possible about all the different aspects of Civil construction, from being heavily involved in two large Civil roading projects including the Huntly Section of the Waikato Expressway and the Manawatu Gorge - Te Ahu a Turanga Highway. A solid background knowledge in Earthworks, Drainage and Traffic Services accompanies his hard-working attitude and commitment to achieve the best possible outcome on the job.
With a fiancée who is also a Civil Engineer, weekends are spent trying to change the overarching theme and are usually centred around sports or house renovations.
BEng Civil (Hons), BCom (Finance), MBA
Matt has extensive experience in leading tender, preconstruction and construction teams gained over more than 18 years in the construction industry. He has held senior leadership roles on a number of globally significant infrastructure projects such as Crossrail in the UK and the Central Interceptor in NZ and in more recent years has focussed on General Management. His specialty areas are in tunnelling, pipelines, structures and heavy civil engineering - both technical and programme delivery facets.
Matt enjoys making a broad contribution to the construction industry and is currently the Chair of the New Zealand Tunnelling Society, a member of the Worksafe Board of Examiners and a committee member of the NZ Temporary Works Forum.
Outside of work Matt enjoys spending time with friends and family, cooking and making the most of the great outdoors.
Btech Civil, GradDip Construction Management
Nick has been working in the civil industry for the last 5 years and has developed a wide range of experience in Earthworks, Land development, Utilities, Infrastructure & residential construction. His focus is best outcome for the project by identifying value engineering opportunities.
Nick completed his Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with Honors along with a diploma in Construction project management.
In his free time Nick enjoys cooking and going out on hikes.

Norman is a passionate Civil Engineering student who studies at The University of Auckland. Norman joined Oxcon CLL in the summer of 2022 to contribute to live projects and learn as much as possible about all the different aspects of Civil construction.
Recent site management experience includes Glen Innes to Tamaki Drive Shared Path, Section 2 - Purewa Road and Parnell Station Underpass for Auckland Transport.
Outside of work Norman enjoys diving and playing basketball with friends.
National N6 certificate in Civil Engineering
Shane has been part of the Civil Engineering industry for over 20 years working on major projects in South Africa and New Zealand. He has managed multiple projects that include concrete structures, retaining walls, infrastructure upgrades, ground improvement and drainage. Recent projects include retaining walls along SH1 and SH16 for Northern Corridor Improvements and Central Interceptor.
In his spare time, he enjoys fishing and spending time with family and friends.
Ryan has been working in the Civil Construction and Infrastructure industry for the past 11 years. He has worked on a broad range of projects ranging from residential and industrial developments, through to large scale motorway projects. He has a diverse understanding of construction projects having worked for contractors, clients, and on alliances.
Ryan has a high level of commercial understanding, complimented by his technical and project management expertise. He brings a practical and pragmatic approach to finding solutions to complex challenges.
Outside of work, Ryan enjoys hunting, fishing, boating, and being outdoors.
Cleopatra has joined the Oxcon.CLL team after spending the last 8.5 years working for Suncorp New Zealand as a Management Assistant in their Legal Team. She has come from a background of Customer Service based roles, prior to Suncorp she worked at New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, Flight Centre and Hallensteins.
Throughout these roles Cleopatra has been able to develop a wide range of skills, and prides herself on her excellent communication and interpersonal skills which has given her the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. With over 10 years in team supporting roles, she has developed a reputation for being a hardworking individual who is reliable, organised, efficient and flexible.
Outside of work Cleopatra enjoys spending time with her loved ones, cooking, baking, and photography.
Geoff Boys has joined the Oxcon team after 20 years experience in the building and construction industry. He comes with a wealth of knowledge from his time working in commercial and residential construction. He has great problem-solving skills, an eye for detail and thrives on running a tight ship. Geoff quickly develops great rapport with clients and works hard with his team and subcontractors to get the best outcome.
In his spare time Geoff enjoys fishing, hunting and spending time outdoors with his young family.
Sebastian brings 10 plus years’ experience, in civil engineering, pre-cast, structures, tunnels and civil projects. He has worked on a number of significant complex and challenging New Zealand projects. Projects include SH16 Lincoln to Westgate Upgrade, Waterview Motorway & Interchange, Central Interceptor. Sebastian has a positive, can-do attitude and excellent communication skills which enable him to work closely with his clients to deliver exceptional results.
When not at work or spending time with the family he enjoys the outdoors, fishing and spearfishing.
Tye has been working in the New Zealand civil construction industry for 6 years.
He has worked on a number of large projects including the Lincoln to Westgate Upgrade, Huntly Bypass and Hamilton Bypass producing slip form barriers. For the last 18 months Tye has been working at Auckland Airport on their air side pavement renewals.
Outside of work Tye enjoys travelling, following the English Premier League and a roast on Sunday.
NZDLandscape Design, NZDEng Civil
Tom brings 20 years' experience in the construction industry, 5 of which in civil construction. He has worked on large scale projects in the UK and Australasia and has a wide range of experience in earthworks, drainage, and concrete structures. Projects include Pan Peninsula in London, Intersection Improvements and Shared Path in Mangawhai and the P1 Compound Upgrade for Channel Infrastructure NZ.
Tom's attention to detail, organisation and hardworking attitude help him to achieve the best results for each project.
In his spare time Tom enjoys hunting, fishing, diving, and playing racquet sports. He is also a keen grower of tropical fruit trees.
Vallerina is passionate about the construction industry. She completed her accounting degree while working at Hirepool where she was able to get a great understanding of the nature of the construction environment and even to gain additional skills such as EWP & WTR licenses.
Taking enjoyment out of interacting with people, Vallerina brings a positive and upbeat approach to her work. She enjoys working with others to resolve issues efficiently and is proactive with a keen eye for detail.
Outside of work Vallerina spends most of her time with her two dogs, getting amongst DIY house renovations, trying new food joints & family trips out of town to reset.
Rima Yousef has built a distinguished career of more than ten years, transitioning from the pharmaceutical industry to her current role in the engineering sector as a Communications and Submissions Manager. Her tenure in pharmaceuticals laid a strong foundation in problem-solving, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex information effectively - these skills have become invaluable in her current role.
With a solid background of over seven years in bid management, Rima's expertise in communication, planning and organisation have been instrumental in her success. She is passionate about collaboration and strategic planning, taking pride in guiding projects to their fruition. Her positive outlook, sense of humour, and commitment to building relationships have made her a key player in the teams she is a part of.
Aaron has gone from a farm upbringing to self-employment at a young age. As a volunteer firefighter since age 16, he has honed his commitment to community service and quick-thinking under pressure.
His career spans furniture making, house and large rural shed construction, to self-employment for 10 years in Rural, Residential, Civil Earthworks, Agricultural Contracting, and Quarrying. With a keen eye for detail and a knack for efficiency, he thrives on solving complex challenges and getting the job done right the first time.
In his downtime, you'll find him immersed in time with family and friends, indulging in outdoor pursuits like hunting, fishing, and water sports, or flying planes.
