Point Resolution Footbridge
This award-winning project comprised the demolition and replacement of an existing footbridge that crosses the tidal inlet adjacent to the Parnell pools, the rail corridor, and Tamaki Drive in Auckland.
The piling on this project is complex and included 10m deep 1200mm diameter piles installed through an existing sea wall with access from Tamaki Drive within temporary traffic management during night time lane closures. There were also piles required within the rail corridor, and a single pile within the tidal inlet between the rail corridor and the Parnell pools.
