Wakefield street

Oxcon/CLL were engaged by Icon to carry out a $4M enabling works package for AUT’s Wakefield Street Development. The scope included:

• Site clearance;

• 820m of 900 dia. retention piling and associated RC capping beam;

• Removable rock anchors;

• 9000m3 of staged excavation;

• Shotcrete walls progressively installed in conjunction with excavation;

• Removable rock anchors installed under Auckland Transport’s road corridor;

• Soil nails;

• Site drainage; and

• The installation of 800m of 1200mm dia. building pilings.

Works were completed progressively and handed over to the structures contractor for the vertical building elements.
